Hailing
from the end of the world (Chile), Mourners Lament was
born during a summer sunset in 2004 with the idea of
creating melodic and oppressive soundscapes. Influenced
by the old school English doom/death metal scene (My
Dying Bride, Anathema, Cathedral…), as well as the epical
riff attacks of Candlemass or Solitude Aeturnus.
After several rehearsals, member changes and local gigs,
Mourners Lament started the recordings of their first
release "Unbroken Solemnity" which will be released
by Descent Productions. "Unbroken Solemnity" contains
three lengthy tracks, with a playing time of more than
half an hour.
The line-up of Mourners Lament consists of members of
well known Chilean metal bands: Mar de Grises, Poema
Arcanus and Letal Solaris. |
